Bound in original green publisher's buckram. Spine lettered and ruled in gilt. Upper edge gilt, other edges uncut. Ex-libris plate of James F. Wickwire pasted to half-title verso.
Very good. Mild sunning to spine. Some fading to gilt at publishers titling on lower spine. Very minor rubbing on corners. Toning to endpapers and to plate tissue guards. Some foxing at rear. Otherwise, contents preserved magnificently and in excellent condition.
Moore's account of the expedition he undertook in 1864 with Edward Whymper and Horace Walker. This 1902 edition incorporates additional pieces written by Moore and compiled by The Alpine Club.
