Original tan publisher's buckram. Cover and spine illustrated and lettered in black and gilt. Illustration of pickaxe and rope to cover and spine. Top edge gilt, others uncut. Original endpapers showing map of Alaska and Wester Yukon with route of expedition in red. Features 100 illustrations and drawings by the author and from photographs and maps. Appendix by Herschel C. Parker. 

Good. Mild darkening to covers and spine. Illustration and lettering gilt slightly faded. Some rubbing here and there. Hinge slightly cracked at front endpapers. Lacks frontispiece and folding map. Otherwise, contents in excellent condition.
